Irakli Gharibashvili meets with Hans van Baalen - Hoofdinhoud
Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili has met with the member of the European Parliament, the President of the Liberal International, Johannes Cornelis van Baalen. The meeting was held in Hague, at the Embassy of Georgia to Holland. The two sides discussed relations between the two parliaments. The discussion focused on the fight against terrorism. Georgia’s contribution into the ISAF mission was emphasized.
The particular attention was paid to the territorial integrity and sovereignty issues, namely Johannes Cornelis van Baalen’s active campaign in this regard. The head of the Georgian Government thanked the member of the European Parliament for protection of the Georgian interests. The discussion also touched on issues of regional security and the crisis of Ukraine.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Deputy Head of the Government’s Administration.
