Following the breakfast Liberal meeting, Nowoczesna leader Ryszard Petru said that the summit was the best moment to start a serious discussion about the integrity and security of the EU: "It was a serious conversation about what to do next with the EU, but also with NATO. While the United Kingdom leaves the EU, they remain one of the strategic members of NATO. The Alliance is, however, a guarantee of security of the European Union. The situation is changing, and the Polish government does not take important topics and does not initiate a serious debate on strategic issues. And we do."
