Subject : Advisory Committee on Social Security for Migrant Workers, replacement of:

1.The General Secretariat of the Council has been informed of the resignation of
Ms M. GAFFNEY (Ireland) and of Mr R. CELI (Italy), members of the above Committee in the government representatives category, and of the resignation of Mr W. GLAUBITZ (Germany), alternate member of the above Committee in the employers' organisations category.
Pursuant to Article 82(2) of Regulation (EEC) No 1408/71 i on the application of social security schemes to employed persons, to self-employed persons and to members of their families moving within the Community, members and alternate members are appointed by the Council.
In accordance with the usual procedure, the Governments concerned have nominated the following candidates to replace the members who have resigned for the remainder of their terms of office, which run until 27 February 2002:

2.The Permanent Representatives Committee could accordingly suggest that the Council adopt the text of the Council Decision replacing two members and an alternate member of the
Advisory Committee on Social Security for Migrant Workers, annexed hereto, as an "A" item on its agenda.

replacing two members and an alternate member of the Advisory Committee on Social Security for Migrant Workers

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,
Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 1408/71 i of 14 June 1971 on the application of social security schemes to employed persons, to self-employed persons and to members of their
families moving within the Community 1 , and in particular Article 82 thereof,
Having regard to the Council Decision of 28 February 2000 appointing, for the period ending on
27 February 2002, the members and alternate members of the Advisory Committee on Social
Security for Migrant Workers 2 ,
Whereas two members' seats in the government representatives category and one alternate member's seat in the employers' organisations category have become available as a result of the resignations of Ms M. GAFFNEY, Mr R. CELI and Mr W. GLAUBITZ respectively;
Whereas nominations have been submitted by the Irish, Italian and German Governments,
HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:
Sole Article

1.Ms J. GORDON and Mr E. MORA are hereby appointed members of the Advisory
Committee on Social Security for Migrant Workers to replace Ms M. GAFFNEY and Mr R. CELI respectively, for the remainder of the current term of office, which runs until 27 February 2002.
Mr U. KRICHEL is appointed as an alternate member of the above Committee to replace Mr W. GLAUBITZ for the remainder of the current term of office, which runs until 27 February 2002.

2.These appointments shall be published, for information, in the Official Journal of the
European Communities.
