RegioStars 2014: deadline inschrijving 19 april 2013 (en) - Hoofdinhoud

Hot on the heels of the highly successful 2013 edition of RegioStars, recognising innovation in EU Regional Policy, the deadline for the next round of Awards is fast approaching. If you have run an innovative project financed through EU Structural Funds, why not apply for this prestigious award? We are looking for projects that contribute, in their individual way to the goals of the EU's Europe 2020 Strategy - smart and green growth for all. This year's Award Categories include actions targeted at youth unemployment and smart transport solutions for cities, as well as, for the first time, a category dedicated to EU Major Projects - of which the total investment (VAT included) is above €50 million.

Each programme can submit one application per category. The five award categories for 2014 are:

SMART GROWTH: SME innovation

SUSTAINABLE GROWTH: Green growth and jobs through Bio-economy

INCLUSIVE GROWTH: Creating jobs for the young generation

CITYSTAR: Investment projects in sustainable urban public transport

Major Investment Projects: Energy efficiency and the low-carbon economy.

Applications must be received by 19 April 2013.

The selected finalists will showcase their projects before an independent jury during the next OPEN DAYS- European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels in early October 2013.
