The meeting of the Ministers for Cohesion Policy of the Nordic, Baltic and Visegrád Group countries took place in Vilnius on 26th of November. It was chaired by the Lithuanian Finance Minister R.Šadžius.
The meeting of the Ministers for Cohesion Policy of the Nordic, Baltic and Visegrád Group countries took place in Vilnius on 26th of November. It was chaired by the Lithuanian Finance Minister R.Šadžius.
The Ministers discussed how they will coordinate among themselves the selection of projects important for the whole region and funding from the EU structural and investment funds. All participants of the meeting emphasised that unified aproach and coordinated efforts are necessary in order to be able to improve prosperity of the region. The ministers also discussed highly relevant urban development problems and how they can be solved with EU’s funding for 2014-2020.
The Ministers from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary participated in this meeting.
The first meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of twelve Nordic, Baltic and Visegrád Group countries took place on 20 February 2013 in Gdańsk, where discussions were held on the topics of Europe’s Growth Strategy, safety and Eastern partnership.
