Blog: Keep the views and ideas coming: building the Digital Single Market - Hoofdinhoud
We're still gathering your thoughts and opinions about building the Digital Single Market - please keep them coming
A couple of weeks ago, at the Digital4EU conference in Brussels, we launched a dedicated website for everyone to share experiences and views to feed into our strategy to create a #DigitalSingleMarket for Europe.
I'm pleased to say that the website is going well and the debate is underway, so warm thanks already to everyone who has taken part.
We have already received quite a few ideas as well as evidence of the kinds of problems that people face when they try to go digital, especially with examples of websites being blocked because of the requested content is not made available for the country they happen to be in.
There is already a good selection of research papers, videos, blogs, screenshots and comments on a wide range of related issues: copyright, platforms, internet governance, e-commerce and cyber-security, just to mention a few.
You can also create your own poll on the DSM where other people can vote - there are already some questions posted on the website like: "Have you had trouble buying content online (music, movies, e-books) from abroad?" and other polls about the concept of pan-European mobile phone companies and network operators.
I'm happy to see that not all of the contributions are in English - and they do not have to be, of course, you can post what you want in the language that you want.
Please keep it coming and use the website actively. It really matters. But we still need more, especially your ideas. I will be using and presenting these views at an important debate that all European Commissioners will hold on the DSM strategy on March 25.
Of course, the debate remains open after then as well. But we need to collect the ideas and comments before that date, so the clock is definitely ticking.
Thank you again for taking part and giving your views on the Digital Single Market that we plan to build. Another blog soon.
