Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 2 Info Day: fresh news

Met dank overgenomen van Uitvoerend Agentschap Onderzoek (REA) i, gepubliceerd op maandag 26 oktober 2015.

On 25 November, the Research Executive Agency (REA i) is organising an Info Day in Brussels on the 2016 calls for proposals of the Societal Challenge 2 ‘Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy’. This Info Day is one of the events organised as part of the SC2 Info week.

During this event, an overview of the new funding opportunities available under the Societal Challenge 2 (SC2) 2016 calls for proposals will be provided. It targets potential applicants for the four calls: ‘Sustainable Food Security’, ‘Blue Growth’, ‘Rural Renaissance’ and ‘Bio-based innovation’.

The morning session will focus on the research priorities of the new Work Programme and will provide an update on practical aspects of proposals' submission and evaluation.

The afternoon session will be divided into parallel sessions organised by call and topic, during which key aspects of the new topics will be presented. As part of the registration process, participants can send questions on the SC2 2016 calls and this input will serve as a basis for much of the discussion.

Registration

Registration is free and open until 13 November. Please note that due to limited space, applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and registration will close once the ceiling is reached. Travel and subsistence costs should be covered by participants.

On 26 November, the day after the Info Day, the BIOHORIZON project will organise a brokerage event in order to offer institutions the opportunity of finding partners with a view to building a consortium.

All sessions will be web-streamed and presentations will be published after the event. Web-streaming will be live on 25 November 2015 from 9:30am CET.
