EuroGEOSS launch event - Hoofdinhoud

On 23 October, Robert-Jan Smits, Director General of DG RTD in the European Commission will officially launch the EuroGEOSS initiative. This launch will be held during the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) plenary week.

During the event, the European Commission (DG RTD and DG GROW) will present the EuroGEOSS initiative and explain how it will fit in the international context of GEO and Copernicus, the European space programme on Earth observation.

The event will also include presentations on sample topics and projects to illustrate what could be done in the future under the flag of EuroGEOSS.

The EuroGEOSS website has also been launched to showcase the work of EuroGEOSS.
