In the aftermath of the infamous Volkswagen scandal, a new inquiry committee was set up: the EMIS inquiry committee. EMIS stands for Emission Measurement in the Automotive Sector and will thoroughly investigate car makers’ breaches of rules on emission tests to ‘make sure that it never happens again’ said James Holtum, Spokesperson for the ECR Group. Today, the newly-born committee will hold its first constitutive meeting, selecting, amongst its members, a Chair and a Vice-Chair, so watch this space!
