Jennifer Baker presents EU Tweets of the Week, looking at the good, the bad and the hungry (yes, you read this right) in the European Union Twittersphere this week:
-
-Most debated: Of course, the UK referendum was at the core of almost every discussion. Will Cameron earn his spurs and convince his electorate to vote ‘yes to stay’ on 23 June? Only time will tell.
-
-The Good: ‘Fire at Sea’ a documentary about Europe’s migration crisis won the Golden Bear at the 2016 Berlinale. Hopes are high that it will be a wake-up call for the international community.
-
-The Bad: Hungary is to call a referendum to hinder the EU’s implementation of compulsory quotas on migrants.
-
-The Hungry: Hours and hours of negotiations can make a Chancellor hungry. Angela Merkel satisfied her late-night cravings with some Belgian frites.
